What clients are saying

"We had some business critical applications to integrate and a major VoIP installation that had not gone well. We turned to Clarus for help. Clarus provided us an outstanding project manager the very next day. The service from Clarus has been fantastic and the quality of the people is first rate. To get someone on the ground the very next day exceeded our expectations."

Sandra Pigram, CEO, Mike Pero

Triple Bottom Line

Triple bottom line accounting means expanding the traditional reporting framework to take into account ecological and social performance in addition to financial performance.

"To me triple bottom line should be the norm. Businesses need to be measured on more than profit. They should also be measured on their contribution to society and their environmental stewardship also. After all, don’t we all share the same living space, regardless of our legal structure?"

Clarus founder Edwin Dando

Environmental Responsibility

We have a designated Sustainability Team responsible for measuring the environmental impact of our business and reducing it.

This year we have:

  • implemented a rubbish grading system to separate out all recyclable material
  • set up a roof-top worm farm to process organic material
  • set targets for improving our resource efficiently
  • set targets for minimising our CO2 emissions
Already this has cut our waste in half. We have a number of new initiatives being implemented throughout the year targeting further waste reductions.

Clarus uses an international system for classifying sustainable products. Sustainable products have five inter-connected design requirements. Using this system we set policy for the following:

  • our invoicing, banking & all other documentation is electronic where possible
  • we use only recycled, TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) paper
  • we have purchasing preference (with a price difference of up to 50%) for products that are manufactured locally, eco-friendly, built to last and recycled rather than new

Cyclic Solar Safe Efficient Social
Creating no waste Using clean energy Ensuring it is harmless Running with less Caring for people
The product is made from organic materials and is recyclable or compostable, or is made from minerals that are continuously recycled. The product uses solar energy or other forms of renewable energy that are cyclic and safe, both during manufacture and use. The product is non-toxic in use and disposal, and its manufacture does not involve toxic releases or the disruption of ecosystems.
The manufacture and use of the product requires 90% less materials, energy and water than products providing an equivalent utility in 1990.
The manufacture and use of the product supports basic human rights and natural justice (to act fairly, in good faith, without bias and with a fair hearing).
