Certified Scrum Master
This two-day ScrumMaster Certification course provides everything you need to get started with Scrum. On completion, participants are eligible to take an exam which allows them to be registered as Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where valuable ScrumMaster materials and information are available exclusively to CSMs.
This course will introduce the essential concepts and tools of Scrum. Participants will learn how to lead development teams towards agile operations by managing product backlogs, planning releases and sprints, tracking and reporting progress, and conducting retrospectives. Exercises, case studies, and examples are interwoven throughout the course to illustrate the principles being taught.
Audience: Scrum Training is applicable to all levels and roles including Managers, Designers, Developers, Testers, Executives, Project Managers and IT. No prior knowledge of Scrum or Agile methods is required although some prior reading is recommended. Scrum Primer is a great guide to get started.
Trainers: The course is taught by Jens Ostergaard (world’s first Certified Scrum Practitioner). Jens is a business partner in the Scrum Training Institute with Jeff Sutherland - the inventor of Scrum.
Objectives: This hands-on, interactive two-day course will provide:
An understanding of the core principles, strategies, and practices of Scrum
Practice applying Scrum in multiple project settings and situations
Cultivate the ScrumMaster mindset vital to effectively managing projects and teams
Gain skills and confidence in effectively communicating Scrum principles to managers and team members alike

REGISTRATION
All registration fees must be paid prior to attending a paid event. Payment will be in NZ Dollars.
Registrations must be received by the registration closing date; no refunds will be given after this date.
Prices are exclusive of GST.
A registration is for one individual. One registration may not be utilised by several individuals.
CANCELLATION OF EVENT Clarus reserves the right to vary or cancel an event in the light of bookings and to vary the duration and content without prior warning. In the event of Clarus cancelling an event, Clarus will return all monies paid in respect of that event.
WITHDRAWL FROM AN EVENT Should an attendee need to withdrawn from a booked and paid event, the following applies:

Cancellations received by Clarus within two weeks prior to the start of the scheduled event receive no refund.
Cancellations received by Clarus between four and two weeks prior to the start of the scheduled event receive a 25% refund.
Cancellations received by Clarus six or more weeks prior to the start of the scheduled event receive a 50% refund.
SUBSTITUTIONS A paid and confirmed attendee can transfer their course booking to another attendee as required. Substitutions must be communicated to Clarus in writing (email is fine). Course transfers after 5pm Friday 12th February 2010 attract an administrative fee of $50.00.
PROGRAM Clarus reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard.
ENTRY Clarus reserves the right to prohibit entry to any person to a Clarus event, or eject any person from a Clarus event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by Clarus staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.
