There has been a vast increase in the number of employers looking for Agile people, both oversees and here in New Zealand. Due to this continued demand we are running our annual Scrum Master Certification course for a forth year running. This course is your opportunity to train in the most adopted of all the Agile methodologies – Scrum.
This year we have a new trainer, a new venue and a new format. Kane Mar is the most experienced Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) and Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) in Australia. He has a very hands-on approach and brings to the course 18 years experience in the software development industry and deep experience with Agile. He has been working exclusively with Agile software development teams since 2001 and has worked with clients such as QPass, Microsoft, Capital One, Progressive, and TransCanada Pipelines. He believes that learning is most effective if done through a combination of exercises, games, and discussion and has constructed his training materials to provide an educational but still enjoyable course.

Overview

In this two-day course, you will apply the Scrum framework on a project to build a new product. You will learn what it feels like to be on a Scrum team—experiencing many of the challenges you're likely to face—while being coached by someone involved with the application of Scrum at many organizations. This “learning by doing” style of instruction demands your open mind and active participation.
We will apply the experiential activities to discussion of advanced topics such as how to use Scrum in multiple-team organizations, how to measure progress empirically at a macro level, release planning to maximize ROI, and why such a simple framework disrupts organizations to be the best they can be.
Participants who complete the course successfully will be designated “Certified ScrumMaster” (CSM). This certification includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional Certified ScrumMaster-only material and information are available. |
| About the Certification |
|
All attendees who complete the course will become Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), and will be listed on the Scrum Alliance website's CSM registry. As Certified ScrumMaster, you will also receive an individual license, Scrum training materials, and Scrum templates, and they will have access to the Scrum Alliance website's ScrumMaster restricted areas. Attendees who are Project Management Institute PMP's are eligible for 14 Professional Development Units. |

Full refunds are available up until 10 business days before the scheduled event date. Cancellations made within 10 business days of the event will be credited toward future events. However, no refunds will be issued. No refunds or credits will be available for "no-shows." Substitutions will be accepted at any time prior to commencement of the course. |
