Edwin is Clarus' founder and Managing Director. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Edwin has a strong understanding of project management, consulting and systems development. He has a BSc in Computer Science and is a Certified Scrum Practitioner.
Edwin has applied his extensive knowledge and experience over a range of projects for clients such as Accenture, Synergy, Gen-I, Vodafone and Telecom.
As a highly motivated individual, Edwin has delivered notable business projects in his career - the most prominent being the Vodafone 3G Video Streaming/ Mobile TV platform.
Edwin passionately believes in sustainable business and advocates all businesses considering three bottom lines – profit, environmental and social. Edwin sits on a number of committees including the Canterbury Software Cluster and the Project Management Institute.
He is a family man with three children, Jess, Henry and George.

Damian Brown, Project Management & Business Analysis Competency Lead

Damian leads both Clarus' Project Management and Business Analysis competencies. He has strong consulting project management skills, and is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster.
Damian has a strong technical background with an understanding across a number of IT disciplines, primarily within the applications environment, voice, data, wireless networking, security, open systems, desktop rollouts, storage environments and operating systems. He is also experienced in the delivery of service based programmes such as ITIL and the associated process re-engineering and organisational change required to implement standards based programmes.
Damian can successfully operate in a managerial, business and/or technical project management role. He has managed projects from their concept stage, through the RFP process, across implementation and handover into the support organisation.

| David Leighton, Consultant |

David has extensive experience in a number of IT management and business change roles. He has strong leadership and management skills in IT infrastructure, procurement, vendor management, business change, IT business support for business applications.
David is a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in financial management, board reports, investment papers and IT strategic plan, business planning, forecasting & modelling. He has a thorough understanding of ERP systems and has been involved in the management and delivery many throughout his career.
David also strong experience in procurement and tendering processes and subsequent management of vendor implementation.

| Robbie May, Senior Business Analyst |

Robbie has over a decade of senior level experience applying diverse skills in a variety of business domains with considerable experience in the education sector having spent over 5 years working on LearnDirect - the UK governments University for Industry on-line learning system.
She has worked on projects that have applied both waterfall and Agile methodologies, including a variety of requirement elicitation and management techniques including, User Stories, Use Cases, Requirements and Test Conditions.
Robbie is also experienced in database-focused roles that have required skills in relational and dimensional modelling, normalisation, logical database design and SQL. Robbie is also experienced in test analysis, execution and reporting.
In addition to her considerable BA skills, Robbie has an ITIL v2 qualification alongside over five years practical Service Support and Delivery experience. She also has internal audit qualification and experience, including audit planning, execution and reporting. She is a highly motivated professional who thrives on challenges. She has outstanding communication and relationship building skills.

Ian Ross, Software Testing Competency Lead

Ian leads Clarus' Software Testing competency. He is a Senior Test Consultant who holds the coveted ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst Certification in Software Testing and is also a Board Member of the Australian and New Zealand Testing Board, actively involved in planning, writing and reviewing testing certification exams and the overall ISTQB syllabus.
Ian has also held senior roles for a range of organisations including Senior Testing Consultant at Hewlett-Packard. He is a team player with strong leadership and mentoring skills. He is a committed, motivated and focused individual, driven by challenges and has a fundamental belief in seeing a problem through to resolution and delivering on promises.
Ian is also a volunteer senior emergency response professional.

Barry McAlpine, Account and Membership Manager

As Clarus' Human Resources Manager, Barry has a variety of key roles and importantly looks after our extensive and valuable member base. With over 12 years experience working in the Christchurch ICT arena Barry brings a vast wealth of experience and an in-depth knowledge of the IT sector to the Clarus team.
Originally from Scotland, with an MA and MSc from the Universities of Aberdeen and Glasgow, Barry has worked in consulting and human resource roles in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Positions have included senior IT recruitment management roles with major well known multi-nationals and management consultancies.
A well renowned IT Recruitment professional Barry has previously worked with Tait Electronics as their Recruitment Manager and more recently in IT Executive Search where he has assisted well known NZ blue-chips and technology organisations source quality IT professionals. Importantly, he brings these skills to Clarus in developing and expanding the Clarus membership base making our Clarus skill offering truly dynamic and state of the art.
Barry and his wife have recently been blessed with a baby boy and his family, as well as football (that’s soccer to the Kiwis), beach life, international travel, good food and wine make up some of his many passions.

Angela Coley-Brown, Finance and Administration Manager
Angela is an experienced Project Manager, Co-ordinator and Business Analyst who has had extensive experience in running complex projects, supporting key project staff, business process facilitation, and business analysis in client organisations.
As Finance and Administration Manager Angela’s role here at Clarus is to assist our clients and members with financial dealings.
With a Bachelor Of Arts from Canterbury University she has embarked on a wide variety of roles to hone her administrative skills and ensured the “home fires are always kept burning” for Clarus.
Angela is well versed in translating IT speak into general conversational terms and has vast experience in liaising with internal personnel and third party providers to achieve business goals.
Angela has strong background in Customer Service, developing training material and extensive experience in running education sessions, and in performing train the trainer roles as well as coordinating troubled projects and helping to get the required results achieved.
She will be able to assist you with any administrative enquiries and is very possessive of her collection of “rubber stamps” .
