The course is an interactive, hands-on workshop that utilizes a combination of presentation, discussion, and hands-on exercises to both explain and demonstrate the core aspects of working with user stories.

Audience: Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Developers, and Testers - in short, anyone who works or will be working with requirements on agile projects.

Objectives

• Find out what user stories are and how they can help you
• Get a useful template for writing user stories
• Learn the six attributes of a good user story
• Learn to write acceptance tests for user stories
• Deal with non-functional requirements
• Find out how to manage and plan user stories
• Receive guidelines for estimating user stories

Prior knowledge of Scrum and Agile methods is required. You should have attended the Certified ScrumMaster class and/or have actively worked on a Scrum team and have a good understanding of the basics.  At a minimum attendees should read the Scrum Primer.
